The golden rule when it comes to board maintenance is to never put the board in the dishwasher. When cleaning it, simply wash it by hand using any dish soap. Dry any excess water off the board and allow it to finish drying standing up on its edge. We do not recommend laying it flat to dry as this could compromise the integrity of your board. When your board starts to feel dry, buff on some Lucky Penny Board Butter. Let sit for 15 - 20 minutes, then buff off with a dry cloth. Your Lucky Penny board will be good as new!
Yes, absolutely. All boards are finished with our board butter which is made of food grade mineral oil and organic beeswax. Additionally, when building our boards, we use Titebond III glue which is FDA approved for use in cutting boards.

Most of our charcuterie boards are about 3/4 of an inch thick. Certain styles of boards, like our large cutting boards, can range and size and that will be noted on the listing.
